Gayle, the Arrhythmia Manager is a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania who relocated to Delaware in October 2000 with her husband.
Gayle received a degree in Medical Assisting from the Thompson Institute, where upon graduation she received the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Scholarship Award. Post graduation, she accepted a position at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and after two years of extensive training in Non-Invasive Cardiology, she received credentialing at Gwyneth Mercy College as a Cardiovascular Technician.
During her training and employment at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Gayle became profoundly interested in Pacemakers and Defibrillation Therapy. Gayle’s advancement in this area led her to be chosen as the Team Leader in the establishment of the Penn State Cardiovascular Device Clinic. Because of her sixteen years of experience in Non-Invasive Cardiology and Pacemaker/Defibrillation Therapy, Gayle was offered a position at Delaware Heart & Vascular, P.A. in 2006.
As the Arrhythmia Manager, Gayle is responsible for all clinical follow-up for patients with implanted Pacemakers and Defibrillators as well as the Event Monitoring, Holter Monitoring/Analysis and Tilt Table Testing services that the Arrhythmia Lab provides. Gayle also assists the Nuclear Technologist and the Echocardiography Sonographer in all aspects of Nuclear and Echocardiography Stress Technician.
Gayle is currently a Registered Medical Assistant and is proficient in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. In addition she has been a member of the Heart Rhythm society since 1997.
